I attended a recent rally here in Salt Lake City regarding the California Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Prop 8. As our group of hundreds of men, women and children marched through downtown I noticed a couple sitting along the sidewalk. They were dressed in a slightly goth/emo style and talked to each other in that disaffected, bored tone only slightly goth/emo people or the outrageously rich can muster:
Goth girl: What is this…
Goth guy: Looks like some sort of gay rights *shrug* thing…
Goth girl: I wonder if your mom is in there…
Goth guy: Maybe… *shrug*
